A while back I posted a link to a site with 30 second samples of all the
tracks on Sam's new album. I was thinking about posting them to the
binaries group, but I'm not sure if they were officially released by Sam and
her people, and I wouldn't wanna throw 'em out here if they weren't intended
to be released. Anyone know for sure? Seems like 30 second samples would
be okay, but they're pretty decent quality...

Speaking of that... I hope someone posts here whenever the CD is available
in the US. I'm lazy (and cheap) and don't wanna have to track it down from
Canada or some other country and have it imported if I can get it locally.
:-P

It's no more difficult to order from Amazon of Canada than from Amazon of
the US.

Interesting... I wonder why they have a specific .ca site then. I just
assumed since it was .ca, that all orders had to be going somewhere in
Canada.

It has to do, I think, with the inscrutable marketing of various media. For
whatever reason, it appears that Samantha's CD is officially "released" in
Canada, but not the US.

Similarly, I buy stuff from amazon.co.uk very often. Even amazon.fr (France)
and amazon.de (Germany) are easy enough to navigate even though they don't
have English pages. Each has different selections based on what's released
in that country, and each will quite happily mail to the US.

For Japanese stuff, I use www.cdjapan.co.jp because their site is in
English. (There is a Japanese branch of Amazon, Joyo.com, but the language
barrier is too much for me.)
